Earlier today, I had the opportunity to participate in the fourth year of Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day event between Envirolution and Tesla.
I, and two of our phenomenal interns at Tesla, Chiamaka and Mahika, assisted ten girls from across the country in a hands-on activity on building their own, simple electric motor. This was for our group alone, there were many more groups of students from across the country participating in this event.
All students got an exclusive peek inside of what we do at Tesla, specifically highlighting the various engineering careers and the incredible women in those roles. This was a great moment to share our individual and collective passion for engineering and to inspire the next generation of engineers.
I'm so grateful to have been a part of this event and look forward to participating again next year!
Manny has been a servant leader for the many years that I’ve known him: kind above all else, thoughtful of his peers and creative in his approach to problem solving.
