Blog: 2020 Presidential Watch Fiesta - Reno, NV
Earlier this year, I met presidential candidate, Julián Castro, during a brief meet-and-greet in Reno. Since then, and being left with great enthusiasm for what Castro stands and fights for, I've been fully engaged in his campaign.
This month, I've had the great privilege of organizing with a couple of Castro's campaign leaders in Northern Nevada, Megan and Michael. One of the first things we set our focus on, was getting a debate watch party organized for the first democratic presidential debate for the #2020 race scheduled for the evening of Wednesday, June 26th, 2019.
We worked with the great staff at Our Center Reno in securing one of their commmunity space's for hosting our watch party on June 26th. It is important that the Castro campaign have access to local centers like this because Castro's campaign is based on a People First premise. Our Center Reno is located off of Wells Ave, an area centrally located in town with diverse communities commonly impacted by the wide array of critical issues in need of effective leadership, which Castro brings to the table. #EveryNevadan
Everyone is welcomed!
Although the debate party is being coordinated by the Julián Castro campaign, anyone and everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend the watch party regardless of party and political affiliation. #EveryNevadan
If you can, please RSVP in advance so we can get a good sense of potential headcount to make any space accommodations on the night of.
If you have questions, or want to get involved in Julián Castro's campaign, please reach out to me and I'd be happy to get you in touch with Megan, Michael and team. Another good, online starting point: peoplefirst.now.sh
Looking forward to seeing new and existing faces Wednesday evening!
